Two is better than one. The month of November proved to be an inspiring one for colleagues of Hitachi and its group companies as we saw the occurrence of two townhall meetings by two key Hitachi Executives.
With border restrictions eased, the first townhall saw President and CEO of Hitachi, Ltd., Dr. Keiji Kojima, visit Singapore to deliver his key message.
The event on 18 November 2022 saw a total of 117 participants from HAS and 14 Hitachi Group Companies (GrCs) gather in the auditorium of the Japanese Association Singapore (JAS). Kojima-san delivered his message and shed light on how companies should work towards achieving the goals laid out in the 2024 Mid Term Management Plan (MTMP), with the focus cemented on Green, Digital, and Innovation.
Bringing all 14 GrCs together and establishing an open dialogue, Kojima-san took on questions from the attendees alongside the Chairman of Hitachi Asia Ltd., Mr. Kojin Nakakita. Through their responses in the Q&A session and closing remarks, Kojima-san and Nakakita-san once again aligned Hitachi employees towards the 2024 MTMP.
The second townhall meeting concluded successfully at Hitachi Square on 29 November 2022. A total of 60 physical and 58 virtual attendees from HAS and the various group companies came together as Mr. Masakazu Aoki, Executive Vice President and Head of Connective Industries Sector, Hitachi Ltd., shared on the importance of understanding the purpose of the Connective Industries’ Sector and Business Strategy for 2024 MTMP.
Drawing back to his experiences from his younger days, Aoki-san empowered attendees to be bold and take the leap of faith when it comes to making tough decisions. Attendees were awed by Aoki-san’s never-say-die attitude and left the auditorium inspired as the townhall meeting came to an end.
