What is Inspiration of the Year Global Award?
IYGA is Hitachi’s annual brand award to promote understanding of the Hitachi Brand among all Hitachi Group employees. It recognises projects that contribute to enhancing Hitachi’s Brand Value, and provides us with an opportunity to share examples of excellence within the Hitachi Group.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for any practices and activities that demonstrated the Hitachi Group Identity, contributed to create a vibrant society or workplace. All Hitachi Group employees are eligible to participate in IYGA.
The following are just some examples of award-winning activities in the past:
Development of innovative products / solutions / technologies.
Projects with remarkable achievements through activities that contributed to society.
Projects winning awards from 3rd parties, including customers.
Internal activities that positively impacted / improved work processes and efficiency.
Volunteer activities
Hitachi Group Identity
The Hitachi Group Identity is centred around Values (Harmony, Sincerity and Pioneering Spirit) and contribution to “Inspire the World”. The evaluation criteria will be focused on how this project or activity demonstrated the Hitachi Group Identity.
When the daily activity of every employee is aligned with this Identity, it shapes the Hitachi Brand and serves to enhance its value.
Brand ambassadors
One Grand Prix winner from each region will be invited to attend the Global Awards Ceremony, held at Hitachi, Ltd., Japan and join the 3-day program to be certified as a Brand Ambassador. The aim is to let the Brand Ambassadors share their experience with other Hitachi Group employees in each region and teach them more about the Hitachi Group Identity.
