It is my honour to join this rare opportunity to celebrate Hitachi Asia’s 30^th anniversary in Southeast Asia together with you.

I am thankful for your hard work, professionalism and most importantly, your unwavering dedication in helping Hitachi Asia grow from strength to strength!

Throughout my 30-year tenure in Hitachi, I have seen tremendous growth throughout Southeast Asia. And I am convinced that Southeast Asia’s transformation would not have come about without your contribution.

For 30 years, Hitachi has invested in opening new offices, manufacturing plants, research and innovation facilities in Southeast Asia. We have also supported the development of our local communities through meaningful outreach and engagement programmes.

As we stride forward to another decade of innovation, let us focus on turning the Hitachi Vision into reality.

Let us encourage each other to achieve even more, to deliver better innovation for the good of society, and to extend our “best in the world” mentality throughout every thought and action.

Together as one Hitachi, I believe we can go even further and Inspire the Next generation of growth and development for everyone.

It is my pleasure to celebrate Hitachi Asia’s 30^th Anniversary together with you.

I joined Hitachi exactly 30 years ago. Over the years, I have witnessed the growth of Southeast Asia. In ASEAN, Hitachi’s success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our two biggest assets – our customers and our employees.

I am heartened by the strong team spirit across the region as we work together as One Hitachi to address society’s challenges and to co-create the next generation of solutions.

By delivering our best and constantly striving to exceed expectations, we gain our customers’ confidence and continued support.

My deepest and most heartfelt appreciation to each and every one for your tireless dedication, hard work and passion for Hitachi.

It also warms my heart to see that the impact of our technological innovations is helping people lead better lives in each country. In 2017, I was appointed to take the growth of the operations even further and expand Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business across the ASEAN region.

I believe there is a lot we can contribute in Southeast Asia whether it is to improve the region’s economic well-being, create Smart Cities, address social challenges through Hitachi Social Innovation Business or through Lumada, Hitachi’s highly intelligent and customisable IoT platform. Let us strive towards what we have yet to achieve in the next decade.

As we celebrate our successes in the last 30 years, let us also forge ahead steadily as One Hitachi to co-create a warmer, more inclusive and better society in Southeast Asia.
