The Inspiration of the Year Global Award 2019 Commendation Ceremony for Southeast Asia Region


The annual Inspiration of the Year Global Award (IYGA) 2019 concluded successfully on 25 November. Held at Jewel Changi Airport, the commendation ceremony for the Southeast Asia region attracted slightly more than 50 attendees.

Mr. Kosuke Horiuchi, Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd. (HAS) opened the ceremony with a short speech and presented the awards to the winners.


In all, six winners were honoured at the ceremony for their exemplary display of the Hitachi Values through their winning projects. Harmony, Sincerity and Pioneering Spirit are values that have been carefully fostered since the company’s founding that continued to live on through their daily work.


The top three winners were given the opportunity to present their winning projects to the audience, hoping to inspire more quality entries in IYGA 2020.


Mr. Koji Tomita, Deputy Managing Director of HAS gave his closing remarks, while Mr. Kojin Nakakita, Chairman of Hitachi Asia Ltd. wrapped up the ceremony. In his speech, Mr. Nakakita encouraged all winners to continue to excel in their area of work to further expand Hitachi’s businesses in ASEAN.
