The health and well-being of employees are vital to both personal fulfillment and organisational success. Recognising this, Hitachi Asia Thailand (HAS-TH) launched the “Move Forward & Transform Together (Step Challenge)” from 1st September to 16th November 2024. Aimed at addressing health concerns and fostering a stronger sense of community, this initiative was thoughtfully designed to promote good wellness and enhance the overall quality of life for employees.
The Step Challenge encouraged employees to lead a more active lifestyle, while helping to reduce the health risks associated with sedentary habits. By incorporating regular movement into their daily routine, participants were able to improve their physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall work performance.
Beyond promoting physical health, the Step Challenge also offered a valuable opportunity to cultivate the spirit of community and teamwork. United by the common goal of wellness, employees from various departments came together to support one another throughout the event. Over the course of several weeks, new friendships were made as participants actively connected with one another to achieve their health goals.
The event culminated on 27th November 2024 with the announcement of the winning team, which logged an impressive total of 8.7 million steps.
1st Place: 8.7 million steps
2nd Place: 8 million steps
The success of the Step Challenge underscores the positive impact that wellness initiatives can have. By embracing wellness, teamwork is fostered. And HAS-TH has taken significant steps toward building a stronger, healthier, and more collaborative workplace. Moving forward, more of such initiatives will be offered to support employee well-being, and ensure that health and wellness remain a priority.
HAS-TH looks forward to the continued success of its wellness initiatives and the ongoing transformation to an even stronger, more unified workplace.
