Hitachi Asia’s Grand Opening @ Mapletree Business City

24th April 2024 was an auspicious day as Hitachi Asia Ltd.’s (HAS) new office at Mapletree Business City was officially inaugurated!

Fellow HAS members, as well as Hitachi colleagues from the other Hitachi Group Companies were invited to join in the celebration of this joyous ceremony together.

Marked by the traditional Sake Breaking or "kagami biraki", the significance of sake breaking lies in its symbolism of good fortune, prosperity, and the beginning of a new venture.  Together, Chairman Nakakita and MD Sakai broke the sake barrel, signifying the breaking through of obstacles and ushering in of success and prosperity in Hitachi’s journey in Asia.  

Thereafter, the Lion Dance troops took over and gave the whole office a dance of good luck.

With this office space officially inaugurated, it will serve as a hub for all Hitachi Group in this region, fostering closer collaboration.
