PSB Technologies Pte. Ltd. (PSB) - a JR Automation company - officially joined the Hitachi family in December 2019. Leveraging on JR Automation’s strong knowledge in automation, Hitachi will be able to advance its technology and resource in SI (System Integration) business.

Established in 1980, JR Automation is a leading provider of intelligent automated manufacturing technology solutions that is headquartered in Holland, Michigan. PSB Corporation was privatized, following its acquisition by TÜV SÜD GmbH in 2006. In 2017, JR Automation acquired PSB Technologies.

JR Automation currently has 18 facilities situated in North America, three in Europe and two in Asia. Apart from China, the Singapore factory is the only one in the ASEAN region.

Company Background

Started out as a Systems and Automation Centre (SAC) in 1982 with the objective of helping local industries in Singapore to improve on productivity through automation solutions, PSB has built a reputation in developing innovative and reliable automation systems for their customers. This is further contributed by their team of dedicated members from Engineering, Project & Admin Department and Management Team who work tirelessly towards ensuring customers’ satisfaction in terms of quality and efficiency in the robotic world.

Services and Target Industries

PSB is a one-stop solutions provider from Design and Build, Pre-Automation, Built-to-Print to Post-Automation. There are mainly three target industries: Consumer and Electronics, Life Science, and Semi-Conductors. Some examples include Safety Syringes Assembly, Wafer Inspection Machine and Kidney Dialysis Kit Assembly Machines. With their Build-to-Print capability, PSB has helped a contact lens manufacturer based in Singapore to optimize their overall production flow by implementing Linear Transport Platform for various stations such as dispensing, curing, lenses handling, die cut, sealing and laser marking.
