The Inspiration of the Year Global Award (IYGA) recognizes remarkable activities that contribute to enhancing Hitachi Brand's value by demonstrating the Hitachi Group Identity. This award aims to nurture a "One Hitachi" mindset by sharing examples of activities that improve the quality of life and add values for customers through demonstrating the Hitachi Group Identity.

The Grand Prix Winners from all the 6 regions are certified as Brand Ambassadors after participating in the Brand Ambassador Program, Global Award Ceremony, and related events. The aim is to let the Brand Ambassadors share their experience with other Hitachi Group employees in their region and teach them more about the Hitachi Group Identity.


Brand Ambassadors actively engage in helping employees around the world understand the Hitachi Group by talking about the relationship between their own award-winning projects and the Hitachi Group Identity, thereby aiming for the enhancement of the value of the Hitachi Brand.


In the “I am Hitachi” series, the stories of the Grand Prix Winners from the 6 regions around the world are featured. These Hitachi employees work hard to make our society a better place through improving Social Value, Environmental Value, and Economic Value, which Hitachi advocates. Their stories show their determination to take on challenge with the Hitachi Founding Spirit to bring happiness to people and fill the world with smiles.


Look out for the “I am Hitachi 2020” movie which will feature our IYGA2019 winners.
