Question: “Who am I?”
Answer: I am Hitachi!


This was everyone’s answer at the end of the one-day workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia on 26th February.


As one of the larger countries in the region, a dedicated session was held specially for employees in Indonesia. The I am Hitachi Workshop 2020 Indonesia brought almost 60 employees from the Hitachi Group of Companies (GoCs) in Indonesia to learn more about the Hitachi Group Identity.


Since the overwhelming success of both workshops in Singapore in 2018 and Thailand in 2019, more dedicated workshops will be held in the region where participants can learn about the Hitachi Brand through a brand education, followed by a teambuilding session centred around the Hitachi Founding Spirit. Through the workshops, majority of participants agree that there is better retention of the Hitachi Group Identity holistically as they learn about the Hitachi Founding Spirit (Harmony, Sincerity, Pioneering Spirit) through light-hearted activities.


Lately, a stronger emphasis is being placed on the Hitachi Group Identity. As such, a reminder on Hitachi’s Mission, Values and Vision is necessary to help employees understand the real meaning and importance of the Hitachi Group Identity. At the end of the workshop, the main objective of the workshop was achieved as all participants had a better understanding of the Hitachi Group Identity and all were proud to be part of the Hitachi family.


With another successful run of the I am Hitachi Workshop 2020 Indonesia, majority of participants have again expressed their better understanding of the Hitachi Group Identity where they will strive to embody the Hitachi’s Founding Spirit by demonstrating Harmony, Sincerity and Pioneering Spirit in their daily lives.

The workshop started with an Opening Address by Mr. Takashi Ikematsu, President Director of PT. Hitachi Asia Indonesia.

The brand education was divided into 3 segments that were taken by Wylyn (Introduction to Branding); followed by Mr. Abraham (Introduction to the Hitachi Group Identity) conducted mainly in Bahasa; and finally by Clarice (Introduction and Application of the Hitachi Group Visual Identity System and the 2021 Mid-term Management Plan). The importance of branding and the Hitachi Group Identity were shared and presented in an interactive and engaging way in this session.

The Magazine Design Cover activity allows participants to display the Hitachi Values of Harmony, Sincerity, and Pioneering Spirit.

All teambuilding activities were curated specially to ensure they centred around the Hitachi Founding Spirit so every team could “play out” Harmony, Sincerity and Pioneering Spirit while completing the challenges.
