Hitachi at COP28
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is a yearly gathering of member countries, partners and innovators that aims to address climate change issues and sustainability actions. This year, at its 28th session at Dubai’s Expo City, Hitachi is honoured to be involved once again – this time as an exhibitor.
Exhibiting Hitachi’s Green Strategy
At COP28, Hitachi held physical and virtual exhibitions that showcased the organisation’s work in sustainability. These exhibits were viewed by numerous visitors from around the world, including the Governor of Tokyo, Yuriko Koike. At the Hitachi booth situated within the Japan Pavilion, visitors gained a better understanding of Hitachi’s Green Transformation capabilities and flagship solutions in three sectors – Energy, Mobility and Industry.
Sharing Hitachi’s Insights as a Climate Change Innovator
Beyond the exhibit, executives from Hitachi also shared their insights across a few panel discussions, on topics ranging from decarbonisation to energy solutions and more.
“Hitachi aims to achieve carbon neutrality through the value chain by FY2050. We have a strategic focus on green transformation and reducing carbon for our customers and society at large as a climate change innovator.” – Lorena Dellagiovanna
At Hitachi, our work contributes towards a greener and more sustainable future. Just within the 2024MTMP period, the company has collaborated with its customers to contribute to the avoidance of approximately 126 million metric tons of CO2 emissions per year – above its initial target of 100 million metric tons.
As One Hitachi, let’s continue to forge ahead towards our sustainability goals.
