Rising to the call by President Higashihara for unity and contribution to social good during the COVID-19 crisis, Hitachi Asia Ltd. (HAS) took the lead to rally its staff and staff from the Hitachi Group of Companies in Singapore in a One Hitachi effort to partner social enterprise, Engineering Good.
Aimed at supporting students and social organisations with urgent needs to access digital devices during the circuit breaker period in Singapore, the collective efforts have seen donations of corporate IT assets such as laptops, personal computers (PCs) and even personal cash donations from staff. These contributions will not only address the needs of the underprivileged in our community, but will also bring us one step closer towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on Quality Education.
Taking this opportunity, the management, and organisers from HAS would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all staff who have taken the time to do good. As we work together as One Hitachi, we will continue Powering Good through our contribution to the society with Harmony, Sincerity and Pioneering Spirit!
