Hitachi Plays Santa 2019
-Powering Good Starts Within-

Hitachi Plays Santa 2019 returned for the third consecutive year last November. Together with the Hitachi Group of Companies (GoCs) in Singapore, Hitachi played Santa to a group of residents living in 1-room rental flats in Block 47, Owen Road, who rely mostly on the government’s support and other forms of charity.

Working alongside our long-term partner, Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) yet again, and with the Moulmein-Cairnhill Constituency (MCC) for the first time, this CSR program started out with one objective – to make a difference in the lives of these residents.

To this purpose, a donation drive was initiated on 1 October 2019, and the result was overwhelming. In all, Hitachi received monies from staff donation to purchase 190 mattress sets which included a pillow, foldable mattress and covers; as well as NTUC vouchers for the families and Popular Bookstore vouchers for the children.

In line with Hitachi's mission, we are happy to contribute to the society not just through the development of superior, original technology and products, but also through such CSR activities as One Hitachi. Till the next opportunity to do good, remember that powering good can start with us because "I am Hitachi!"

Hitachi Plays Santa 2019

Two videos were produced this year:

a) Main Hitachi Plays Santa 2019 Video

b) Prologue to the Hitachi Plays Santa 2019

To date, there has been about 9.9 million viewership of the main video on Facebook which we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support.

So once again, our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this event a great success! Till our next opportunity to contribute to the society, please remember that powering good begins with us.
