Town Hall Meeting with Higashihara-san in Singapore

Since the rollout of the new 2021 Mid-term Management Plan (MTMP), President and CEO of Hitachi, Ltd. Mr. Toshiaki Higashihra has been making much effort to connect personally with each region globally through Town Hall Meetings (THMs). Fortunately, ASEAN was one of his first stops and Hitachi Asia Ltd. (HAS) had the privilege of hosting President Higashihara on two occasions in order to cater to a bigger audience.

After breaking down the 2021 MTMP and relaying the new goals and strategies, President Higashihara was joined by Chairman of HAS, Mr. Kojin Nakakita and Managing Director of HAS, Mr. Kosuke Horiuchi, during the question and answer (Q&A) session. All three gentlemen took turns to address some of the burning questions that some eager employees had.

Nearly 400 staff from the Hitachi Group of Companies in Singapore attended both sessions on 8th and 10th July.

Aligned with our founder, Namihei Odaira’s vision when he first started Hitachi, President Higashihara emphasized on how we can continue to achieve a sustainable society through Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business by creating three values namely:

• Social Value
• Environmental Value
• Economic Value

In closing, President Higashihara encouraged all staff to continue powering good and contributing to the society through the development of superior, original technology and products.
