Hitachi Plays Santa 2018!


If you missed this meaningful activity last year, fret not! Hitachi Plays Santa returns for the second year running on 7 December! And we would like to invite all Hitachi Group of Companies in Singapore on this journey to share our joy in giving back to the society during the most wonderful time of the year.


This year, you can join us by sponsoring a goodie bag(s) worth $30 each. We are targeting to raise $7,000 for the social service families who will be celebrating Christmas with us at the Great Christmas Village on 7 December 2018.


This is entirely voluntarily and there is no obligation. For those who are seeing this for the first time, the deadline to sponsor a goodie bag has been extended to 23 November and we look forward to your generosity.


Meanwhile, we also like to thank those who have indicated your interests to volunteer on 7 December 2018. Due to overwhelming response, we will contact you by end November if you are shortlisted.


More about the Great Christmas Village and Hitachi’s Involvement


This year, Hitachi Plays Santa returns to bring joy to selected social service families through an event jointly organized by the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) and The Food Bank Singapore (Food Bank).


We will invite social service users to enjoy an afternoon of fun at the Great Christmas Village where they will:

  1. Enjoy free food
  2. Enjoy free unlimited fun rides
  3. Receive a food bundle per family (donated and packed by Hitachi employees)
  4. Have photo opportunity with Hitachi’s Santa House and given printed photos for their remembrance
  5. Learn art and craft at the craft corners
  6. Be entertained by stage performances


In addition, we are pleased to advocate inclusive employment by co-creating fan designs with selected social service users. These hand fans will be distributed to the public at the Hitachi Santa House located within the Great Christmas Village.
