4th Smart Cities Asia 2018 and Indonesia Infrastructure Week 2018


Hitachi took part as an Event Presenter in the 4th Smart Cities Asia 2018 (SCA) on 2 and 3 October 2018 at Connexion @ Nexus Bangsar South, and as a Platinum Sponsor in Indonesia Infrastructure Week 2018 (IIW) between 31 October 2018 to 2 November 2018 at Jakarta International Expo, Hall A.

Through both sponsorships, Hitachi positioned itself as a thought leader in the area of smart city and security while concurrently enabling the development of a better knowledge sharing culture amongst key stakeholders in Malaysia and Indonesia.


Themed ‘Making Cities Smarter’, SCA highlighted pioneering urban solutons that are defining and transforming cities around the world. Hitachi exhibited a wide range of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions aimed at enabling and accelerating smart cities. Topics such as real estate development, smart city planning, the convergence of cloud-based computing, big data, and IoT as an enabler of social innovation were discussed during Hitachi’s presentations and question and answer (Q&A) session. Guests learnt how Hitachi can value-add to a company’s digital ecosystem.


IIW comprised of six vertical trade shows focusing on different priority sectors: (1) InfraEnergy Indonesia 2018, (2) Special Economic & Industrial Zones, (3) InfraPorts Indonesia 2018, (4) InfraSecurity Indonesia 2018, (5) InfraRail Indonesia 2018, and (6) InfraWater Indonesia 2018. Under the InfraSecurity Indonesia 2018 pillar, Hitachi showcased solutions revolving social infrastructure and Information Communications Technology (ICT). Holistic approaches for co-creating innovative security soutions to support physical infrastructure in Indonesia were also discussed during Hitachi’s keynote presentation and panel discussion, with an aim to contribute to the country’s 2015-2019, US$460 billion infrastructure development programme.
