Hitachi Asia Ltd. Appoints New Deputy Managing Director

Singapore, 28 April 2011 – Hitachi Asia Ltd. today announced the appointment of Mr Kiyoaki Iigaya as its Deputy Managing Director effective 1 July 2011.

Mr Iigaya succeeds Mr Hitoshi Shirai who will be Director and General Manager of Hitachi Research Institute, Ltd in Tokyo from 1 July 2011.

Mr Iigaya has extensive experience in Human Resources since joining Hitachi. He is presently General Manager of Human Capital Office, Human Capital Group in Hitachi, Ltd.

In 2007, Mr Iigaya was General Manager of Employee Relations & Human Resources Department as well as Senior Manger of Human Resources Service Centre in the same department.

Prior to that, Mr Iigaya was in charge of Human Resources at Hitachi Europe Ltd. from August 2000 to September 2002.

Mr Iigaya joined Hitachi, Ltd. in 1979 after graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo.
