Hitachi Donates 6 Million Yen to Support Quake-Tsunami Victims in Palu City, Indonesia
Jakarta, Indonesia, November 9, 2018 – Hitachi Ltd. (TSE: 6501, “Hitachi”) and PT. Hitachi Asia Indonesia, today announced that the Hitachi Group will donate six million yen (778.9 million Indonesian Rupiah*) to support Indonesia’s relief efforts as the city of Palu was hit by an earthquake and subsequent tsunami on September 28.
“We extend our deepest condolences for victims of the earthquake and tsunami. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and we hope to extend the support and assistance that we can to help them through this time of grief. With Hitachi’s support, we wish for the earliest recovery of the people affected by the disaster,” said Mr. Takashi Ikematsu, President Director of PT. Hitachi Asia Indonesia
