Takatoshi Sasaki appointed new Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd.

Singapore, March 24, 2020 – Hitachi Asia Ltd. today announced the appointment of Mr. Takatoshi Sasaki as the new Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd., responsible to grow the operations and expand Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business across the ASEAN region. He is currently Senior Director in the Government   Public Corporation Information Systems Sales Management Division at Hitachi, Ltd.

Mr. Sasaki will succeed Mr. Kosuke Horiuchi, who is returning to Japan to assume the post of General Manager, Financial Information Systems Sales Management Division of Hitachi, Ltd. Both appointments will be effective April 1, 2020.

Mr. Sasaki began his career in Hitachi in 1993 and he has mainly been promoting Hitachi’s IT systems and providing solutions to the Japanese government and the private enterprises in Japan. He contributed to the optimization of IT systems and the expansion of e-government systems for the Japanese government. In addition, he also worked closely with large logistics and airline companies in Japan, promoting collaborative creation and providing competitive solutions based on Hitachi’s innovative fusion of products together with information technology and operational technology.

With almost three decades of experience in the field, his extensive understanding of the market will enable him to continue driving Hitachi Asia forward.

Mr. Sasaki graduated from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Nihon University in 1993.
